With the globalization of development taking place all over the world, the younger generation often finds themselves confronting rapid changes in their daily lives. They eagerly embrace the challenges that come with relocating to new areas for career opportunities, education, and an improved lifestyle. However, this shift also gives rise to certain issues, such as social integration and the solidification of social bubbles when individuals move to unfamiliar places. Consequently, people may lack the support of their surroundings and struggle to establish connections within their new communities.

 

This project focuses on the city of Eindhoven as its design field, aiming to address these challenges specifically for university newcomers. By utilizing game-based and gamified interventions, the project seeks to facilitate a smoother social integration process and foster a sense of social inclusiveness.
